The Science Behind Your Brain at Music Festivals with Dr. Paul J. Zak
If you've spent any time at a music festival, you've probably felt it. That moment when you're singing along with thousands of strangers and somehow...
Hulaween officially completed its 2026 lineup, adding a final wave of artists that rounds out what is already shaping up to be another unforgettable weekend beneath the Spanish moss. And after reading through the announcement, one thing became clear: Hulaween isn't standing still, it's continuing to evolve.
There are festivals you attend because of the lineup.
Then there are festivals you return to because of the feeling.
For more than a decade, Suwannee Hulaween has managed to be both. Every October, thousands of festival-goers make the pilgrimage to Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, not just to see incredible artists, but to immerse themselves in one of the most creative, community-driven environments in the country.

One of the things I've always appreciated about Hulaween is that the lineup invites exploration. Sure, the headliners draw you in, but it's often the names further down the poster that end up becoming your favorite discoveries of the weekend.

The final artist announcement adds even more depth to an already stacked lineup. KETTAMA brings one of dance music's most exciting live experiences, while Frost Children (DJ Set) and breakout house producer Dean Turnley continue Hulaween's tradition of introducing audiences to artists pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
Jam fans have plenty to celebrate, too.
One of the most anticipated additions is The Warren Haynes Incident, a special Saturday night Shebang performance celebrating the music of the Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers Band. It's a fitting tribute for Spirit of the Suwannee, where Warren Haynes and the Allman Brothers helped shape decades of musical history.
The announcement also revealed a special version of EOTO & Friends, featuring Scott Metzger of Joe Russo's Almost Dead and Kyle Hollingsworth of The String Cheese Incident—a collaboration that feels uniquely Hulaween and perfectly captures the festival's love of one-of-a-kind performances.
Of course, anyone who's spent time wandering Spirit Lake knows the music is only part of the experience.
Hulaween has always blurred the line between festival, immersive art installation, and campground community.
This year, organizers are doubling down on that philosophy with the return of the Spirit Lake 360° Experience, restoring the fully walkable path around the lake after listening to attendee feedback.
That may sound like a small change, but for anyone who's lost themselves among the sculptures, projection mapping, interactive art, and late-night discoveries around Spirit Lake, it's a meaningful one. The lake isn't just another attraction—it's the heart of Hulaween.
One detail that really stood out in this announcement wasn't another artist addition.
It was the festival's willingness to invest back into its community.
Organizers announced that four-day General Admission passes will start at more than $75 less than last year's pricing, a move aimed at making Hulaween more accessible while giving back to the loyal fans who have helped build the festival into what it is today.
The release also outlines expanded VIP amenities, improved shuttle service, new glamping and preset RV options, and easier access throughout the park—all thoughtful improvements that came directly from attendee feedback.
In a festival landscape where costs continue to climb, it's refreshing to see organizers responding to their community in tangible ways.
It's easy to talk about Hulaween in terms of headliners and production value.
But that's never been the full story.
What keeps people coming back year after year is the feeling that anything can happen. One minute you're catching Pretty Lights, My Morning Jacket, or The String Cheese Incident. The next, you're wandering through Spirit Lake, discovering an art installation you somehow missed the night before, or striking up a conversation with neighbors who quickly become lifelong friends.

That's the magic of Hulaween. It's a festival that rewards curiosity. It celebrates creativity.
And perhaps more than anything else, it reminds us that the best festival experiences aren't just built on great music—they're built on community.
With the lineup now complete and another October adventure on the horizon, the countdown officially begins.
We'll see you in the swamp, neighbors.
