In addition to the music, festival-goers can enjoy late-night Silent Discos, participate in Sound Meditation sessions, and join Yoga classes as well as a Kid’s Arts & Crafts Workshop.

The Summer Camp Music Festival has announced a shift in venue and format for its 2025 event in response to economic challenges within the festival industry.
Traditionally held at Three Sisters Park, next year's festival will instead take place on the Peoria Riverfront from May 23-25, 2025. The 2025 edition will focus on a series of three-day concerts without the traditional camping experience, featuring a mix of returning artists and new additions to provide a refreshed musical experience.
Accommodations for attendees will be facilitated by the proximity of several major hotels near the Peoria Riverfront, accommodating both local and traveling attendees efficiently. This location change is designed to maintain the festival's continuity while adapting to current economic conditions.
Festival organizers have confirmed the return of the Summer Camp Music Festival to Three Sisters Park in 2026 for its 25th edition, scheduled for May 22-24. This return will celebrate the festival’s milestone year in its traditional setting. Further details and the complete lineup for the 2025 festival will be announced after the New Year. For the latest updates, attendees can check the festival’s official website at summercampfestival.com.

I picked this video up from listening to Roots Music Rambler, a weekly podcast that is hosted and produced by my friend Jason Falls and his co-host Francesca "Frank" Folinazzo. Jason has a background in radio and Frank in travel blogging, so these two produce a pro-grade show. If you are into following what's coming down the pike in Americana, Country, Bluegrass, Blues, and Soul genres, check them out.
They opened episode 43 with a review of Stephen Wilson and his rendition of “Stand By Me” on Live at the Print Shop. Stephen's incredibly unique of this American classic is fresh, deep, interesting, soulful and carries almost a melancholy vibe throughout the acoustic performance. The driving intensity of the guitar matched with his muted and yet powerful vocals sent chills. Hat tip to the neighbors over at Live at the Print Shop for a superb studio recording that added to the experience of this tune. You can see the full performance with his band here.
