I’m recapping a wild and muddy weekend moshing at INKcarceration 2025, the massive metal and tattoo festival at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio. It was extra special this year because I got to bring my son Kaden along to rock out at his very first music festival.

I break down everything you need to know before you go: from the heavy-hitting lineups featuring bands like Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, and Falling in Reverse, to insider tips on camping, shuttle logistics, and snagging those coveted tattoo and prison tour spots.

 

 

Festival Performance of the Week

Sometimes the best moments at a music festival are personal. This documentary is incredibly personal to me because it was produced with the help of my oldest son Kaden (who you'll meet when you watch).  As he was growing up, I always knew he had an artistic flare, but his ability to quickly learn my cameras as well as his natural eye and skill as a cinematographer is what made the INK documentary turn out pretty bad ass.  So yeah, this week's festival performance of the week belongs to my son Kaden.

Make sure to watch all the way to the end to see him crowd surf to his favorite band Slipknot in the credits.
